What is Rebirth? According to our Mythology

Rebirth is also known as Reincarnation or transmigration, is the philosophical or religious concept that the non-physical essence of a living beings new life in a different physical form or body after biological death.

Hindu mythology is very complex, the more deeper you go inside it, the most complicated things seems. According to it, there is certainly a life after death and that life is decided on the basis of deeds done by a person throughout his entire life period.
A person is sent to the Heaven if he has done good deeds in his whole life while he is sent to the Hell if he has committed sinful crimes that are not accepted in the court set up by God.

The period between death and rebirth lasts 49 days and involves three bardos.

1.What is the concept of rebirth in Hinduism?

Reincarnation is a key that everyone belief in Hinduism. In Hinduism, all life goes through birth, life, death, and rebirth and all of this is known as the cycle of Samsara.. Once a living beings died, its soul or aatma is reborn or reincarnation into a different body depending upon its karma from its previous life. It is the atman that moves on into a new body after death.

An aatma can go into the body of any living things, such as plant, animal or human. Once a living beings dies, its aatma will reborn into a different body depending on its karma from its previous life.

For example, if a person has good karma in previous life, then their aatma will reborn into a better life than they were previously. But if a person, doing bad karma and crimes then they were reborn into a worst life.
A person gains good karma for doing good things in life such as helping others through following their dharma

2.Rebirth: The opinion of scientists and philosophers

Rebirth’ is not a ‘Hindu doctrine’ or ‘belief’, although many people around the world think so. Reincarnation is a real event, and many famous statesmen, scientists, philosophers, psychologists around the world have acknowledged this fact. In his classic novel Siddhartha on theological truth, Nobel laureate Hermann Hess wrote, "He saw that bodies and faces are connected to each other by the thousands. None of them died, they just changed their bodies, they reappeared in new bodies, constantly changing their faces and being reborn with new ones. There are only two faces between the old and the new."

In 1814, John Adams, the former president of the United States, wrote to another former president, Thomas Jefferson: Then they are released from that prison and allowed to come to earth Is. When they come to earth, they begin to transform into all kinds of species, including reptiles, birds, animals, humans, etc., according to their own abilities, qualities and character. Is. Why, after passing various tests without complaint, if they are advanced enough, they are allowed to give birth to cows or human species. If humanWhen they are born and behave well, then they are restored to their joy in their own glory. ” (Letter to Jefferson, written to Thomas, March, 1814: From the book 'Abzan Adams' in Corspund.)

At present the theory of reincarnation is attracting the minds of Western intellectuals and the ordinary people. There is a growing renaissance in the films, novels, popular songs, TV channels, stories, articles and magazines are rapidly engaging with more than 7.9 billion peoples, including Hindus, Buddhists, Taoists and others. It is well known that life does not begin with birth, nor does it end with death.

3. The ideas of Reincarnation in different religions

Sanatan Dharma(Traditional Religion)

The ancient Vedic scriptures of India state that the other era, which is associated with inanimate nature, is constantly traveling through the bodies of 64 lakh species.

The soul is always born from the lower species body to the higher species body. Eventually the living soul receives the human body. According to the Vedic scriptures, there are four lakh species of people in the world. With the increase in the manifestation of the consciousness of different castes, different ethnic groups, different mentalities, the living soul has to be reborn as a non-human, that is, inferior species to human beings.

The theory of reincarnation is one of the main theories and studies of the scriptures of the traditional religion.

• Christianity

Origen, one of the fathers of the early Christian Church in the third century AD and one of its most learned biblical theologians, wrote: At first, after the human body has passed a certain time limit, they gain various stupid bodies for irrational, criminal progeny, then they have to degenerate into plant species. From this state they are re-ascended through those same eras and finally they return to heaven.

There are many passages in the Bible itself that indicate that Jesus and his followers were aware of this doctrine of reincarnation. For example, Jesus' disciples once asked about the Old Testament prophecy that Elijah would return to earth. The Bible's Gospel of St. Matthew says, "Jesus answered them, 'Elijah will come first and restore everything.' But I say unto you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not. Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

• Ancient Greece

Socrates, Pythagoras, and Plato are just some of the ancient Greeks who made the theory of reincarnation an integral part of their teachings.

Pythagoras claimed that he could recall his earlier life. The philosopher Plato presented the details of reincarnation in his major works. The gist of his doctrine is that the pure nanny descends from the level of absolute truth to this material world for her senses, and here she assumes an inanimate body. The fallen creature first assumes a human body, according to him. The best of the many human species are the philosophers who strive for higher knowledge. If his knowledge is perfected, he can return to that level of eternal existence.

On the other hand, if he becomes very addicted to inanimate pleasures, then he has to fall into the panda species. Plato believed that overeating drug addicts could gain a donkey-body in their future births, that violent and insidious people could be wolves and vultures, and that those who were blind followers of social customs could be bees or ants. Some time later, these creatures were reborn as human beings. In this way they are given another chance to be released. Plato's interpretation is very similar to the principles of traditional religion.

4. Scientific  proof  of  the
 transmigration  of  the  soul

Many may ask you, “Do you have to practice this Krishna consciousness? Does anyone know what will happen after death? Who has seen the rebirth after death? Forget all these fantasies, these unreal fantasies, and enjoy this present life. "We should know that such people are the most unfortunate, because they are deprived of the greatest true wealth, which is faith in Bhagavad Gita. He said that all these people cannot be happy in this life as well as in the next life No. We can, of course, quote the belief in the reincarnation of many more world-renowned scientists, but these people will not be able to understand all of them because of their deep-seated fanaticism and incompetence. The most significant evidence of reincarnation is the research done on this subject. The theory of reincarnation is indisputably proven by the flowers of these research works.

Dr. Ian Stevenson, a professor of psychiatry at the University of Virginia, and many other eminent researchers such as S. Parishcha, Gabriel Delaney (1924), Shili (1932). B. L. Atreya (1956), Parichar (196), Mac Tegart (1915), Ducas (1962) and Broad (1962, 1969) all took the subject of reincarnation very seriously and supported the theory of reincarnation based on its findings after extensive research on the subject.

Over the past two decades, Dr. Stevenson has performed more than 2,000 births from different parts of the world. Case histories of people of different ages have been recorded, who can recall their previous births, and they also have infallible evidence of it. Dr. Stevenson has investigated about 1300 cases himself.

5. A direct proof

From caterpillars to butterflies:

Caterpillars are a nuisance to everyone because of their bizarre appearance, even more bizarre movements, and a touch of acid-filled caterpillar or red for Rome.

But when the caterpillar grows up, it makes a shoot that looks like the shell of a supuri with the saliva of its mouth. He stuck his whole face out of that cocoon. Later, the cocoon breaks out and comes out glittering, an impeccable creation of a colorful full-grown butterfly, whose only job is to fly with joy and eat the honey of flowers.

The untouchable body of the caterpillar lies in the cocoon. The owner of the body of the caterpillar is now the life in the body of the butterfly or the life-particle is now existing in the body of the caterpillar.

6. A real case of rebirth collected in Bengali.

Shukla, a young girl from West bangal, is one of the 2,000 case histories collected by Stevenson. Ever since Shukla was just a year and a half old, she has learned to speak, she has been swinging on a cushion with a pillow and saying that it isBeing 'Minu'. She used to say that Minu was his daughter. Over the next three years Shukla was able to recall many incidents of her previous birth, so that it was understood that Minu was really her daughter in the last birth.

Shukla was the daughter of a railway  from Kampa village in West Bengal. She didn't just talk about his daughter Minu. She also spoke of 'Minu's father', meaning her husband, (although she did not say her name. The Hindu wife does not mention her husband's name. She also spoke of her two last-born brothers, Khetu and Kanai.)

Shukla's family. - Shugura knew little about Bhatpara. It was a market about 11 miles away, but they had never heard of Rathtala or the people whose children were named Shukla. Shukla insists on going there and says that if they don't take him, he will go there alone.

Shukla's father, wife K. N. Gupta told his friends about the matter. He is survived by one of his railway colleagues, the wife of the assistant station master S. C. Pal also told the incident. Sripal lived in the vicinity of Bhatpara, and Datpara had two nephews. After inquiring from his nephews, he came to know that there is indeed a place called Rathtala near Bhatpara. There was also news of a person called Khetu. Khetu had a sister-in-law, named Sa, who died a few years ago (1948) leaving a young daughter named Minu. Grisengupta decided to investigate the matter further. With the consent of the family, he was ready to go to the chariot one day. Shukla said he could show the way and take her home.

So one day in 1959, when Shukla was five, Grisengupta left for Bhatpara with five other members of the family and Shukla. When he reached there, Shuklai started to show him the way. Crossing various turns, he went straight to the house of his pre-born father-in-law Amritlal Chakraborty without taking the wrong path. Incidentally that house(Srichatravarti was on the road outside the house at that time. Shukla looked at him shyly when he saw her, just like a Bengali housewife is ashamed to see the old man of the family. But Shukla was shocked when he entered the house. Later it was found out why this had happened.

The Gupta family immediately saw that Shukla had not only identified the house. She also identified the people of the house as her (Mona's) mother-in-law, grandfather, her husband and her daughter. At that time there were about 20 to 30 people in Sri Amritlal Chakraborty's house around Shukla. When the child Shukla was asked, "Can you show your husband out of this?"

Shukla and Haridhan Chakraborty met several times after that, Shukla was eagerly waiting for this. When Haridhan Chakraborty once came to Shukla's house, Shukla asked his family to cook lobster, saying that it was his ex-husband's favorite food. According to him, his family made the food and later they saw that Shukla was right. Little Shukla treated Haridhan Chakraborty like a real Hindu wife. When Sri Chakravarti ate, Shukla ate the rest of the dish carefully, just as a Hindu housewife does. But Shukla never ate their leftovers from someone else's dish.

7.The relevance of pre-birth in our lives

When we realize the theory of reincarnation, we accept it as true, then naturally it is obvious. It becomes that we are not this body, we are the Chinmoy soul. But from waking up in the morning to waking up all day and night, to bedtime, all we do is go to the office, earn money, eat, sleep, arrange self-defense, have fun. For the body, which is nothing but a garment. The real tragedy comes when the body is worn out and our accumulated money, wealth, relatives, sons and relatives even the most beloved body as the focal point of all activities are brutally snatched away by death. The soul is expelled from the body, then the soul takes a body elsewhere according to the pre-embodied karma.

All these desires, the fruits of karma, are carried from one gross body to another with the help of the subtitled body. What does the soul carry in its subtitle body?

The result of virtuous deeds.
•The result of sinful deeds.
•The effect of triple.
•Inanimate desire.
•Devotional good deeds.

The first two are to enjoy good and bad results, the third is to gain a special kind of body and disposition under the influence of three different levels, the fourth is to ensure the gain of inanimate lust (the inanimate is to extend the prison term and the fifth is to perform devotional good deeds or service to the soul). Freeing all karma, quality-effect, from inertia, he leads to Bhagavad-gita, where he can directly participate in the daily pastimes with God, which is divine, blissful!
