What is Veda ! Kinds of Veda

Veda is a Sanskrit word from the root, vid, meaning “to know." Thus, veda means "knowledge" or "wisdom." They are thought to contain the fundamental knowledge relating to the underlying cause of, function of, and personal response to existence.

The Vedas are the religious texts which inform the religion of Hinduism (also known as Sanatan Dharma meaning “Eternal Order” or “Eternal Path”).

What is Vedic scripture ?

(The Vedic scriptures are a vast body of knowledge, containing about 100 million Sanskrit verses. According to the Bhavishyapurana, "the Rig Veda, the Yajurveda, the Samveda, the Atharva Veda, the Mahabharata (including the Bhagavad Gita), the Pancharatra original Ramayana and the Puranas are all Vedic scriptures." The Chandogya Upanishad (7/1/4) mentions the Puranas and histories, which are called the Fifth Veda, the number of the main Puranas is eighteen. The author of both is Mahamuni Byasdev.

• How did the Vedas originate?

Vedic knowledge is not the hypothesis of any materialistic closed man, it is coming from the Supreme Lord Himself. At the beginning of creation, Lord Brahma was given Vedic knowledge. The word Veda means knowledge and the source of this knowledge is Lord Himself. Since the Vedas are not written by any human being, the Vedas are called 'Apurusheya'. The Veda is absolute and self-evident, there can be no error in the Veda. The proof of the Vedas is that the Vedas do not wait on anything else for interpretation. The same thing has been declared in the Bhagavad Gita (3/15): It is said in the Atharva Veda, “Lord Krishna, who preached Vedic knowledge to Brahma, preached Vedic knowledge to the world.

In the earlier ages of Kali Yuga, people were so gifted that they could understand and remember everything after hearing it from Gurudev. That is why they were called Shrutidhara, and the other name of the Veda was Shruti. Shukadev Goswami heard Srimad-Bhagavatam (18,000 verses) from his father Mahamuni Srivastava only once. He later memorized them effortlessly and listened to the sages and sages present, including Maharaja Parikshit.

But today's Iron Age is the Kali Yuga, which began 5,000 years ago. In Kali Yuga, people are apathetic towards spiritual life, lazy and their memory is very weak. That is why Mahamuni Byasadeva compiled and recorded all the Vedas and Puranas five thousand years ago keeping in mind the people of Kali Yuga.

• The Four Vedas - Heart of Hinduism

The four Vedas are known as the "Rig Veda," the "Yajur Veda," the "Sama Veda" and the "Atharva Veda."

1. The Rig-Veda

The most important and, according to scholars, oldest of the Vedas. It is divided into ten books (called mandalas) and has 1028 hymns in praise of various deities. These include Indra, Agni, Vishnu, Rudra, Varuna, and other early or “Vedic gods.” It also contains the famous Gayatri mantra and the prayer called the Purusha Shukta (the story of Primal Man)

2. The Yajur-Veda

The "Yajur Veda" is more of a guidebook for priests and contains rituals and ceremonial instructions. It’s said to be similar to an ancient Egyptian text called the "Book of the Dead." Priests would use this guidebook in ceremonial sacrifices. This Veda is made up of two parts: the “black” and the “white.” You can think of the "Yajur Veda" as a book of rituals.

3. The Sama-Veda

The "Sama Veda" is essentially a book of chants and songs which were sung during ceremonial sacrifices and various rituals of worship. All the melodies in this particular book actually come from the "Rig Veda."

4. The Atharva-Veda

The Book of Spell The
Atharva-Veda (the wisdom of atharvan sect of the Brahmins have traditionally been credited with the composition of the hymns of the Veda. This is the last of the four Vedas and is completely different from the other Vedas. It is considered next only to Rig-Veda with regard to history and sociology because its compilation of hymns lacks the remarkable spiritual experience that the Rig-Veda offers. Its hymns are of a more diverse nature than the Rig Veda and are also simpler in language and therefore it infuses a different experience. In fact, many scholars do not consider it part of the Vedas at all. The Atharva Veda consists of spells and charms prevalent at its time, and portrays a clearer picture of the Vedic society. It has incantations for everything, from success in love to the realization of otherworldly objectives.

• Veda: Where is the proof of infallibility?

Why should we accept word-proofs (Vedas) as true? The Vedas are the direct words of God, which were revealed at the beginning of creation. When you buy a motorcycle, it is accompanied by an instruction manual or guidelines on how to use the motorcycle. In the same way, at the time of creation, God gave us the Vedic scriptures. To explain why this world, where it originates from, how to behave in this world.

• Dalton discovered the atom less than two hundred years ago. This information is given in the original verse of Srimad-Bhagavatam, written 5,000 years ago today, of the smallest atomic indivisible particle. It is also stated in the Brahmasanghita (5 /) that the largest unit in the arrangement of chained inert matter is the universe, the smallest unit is the atom One of the largest units or universes is not one, but billions.

• Five hundred years ago, the belief prevailed in most parts of Europe that the earth was not a flat sphere. The Vedas (which have existed since the beginning of time and which were recorded five thousand years ago) clearly state that the earth is round - 'earth-round'.

• It is said that the calculation of the multiplier of the century was invented 2/3 thousand years ago. But in many places in the Vedas there are references to the multiplication of centuries up to thousands-millions-crores-of-tumors. For example, the calculation of 64 lakh species of living beings (four hundred thousand human beings), the size of the soul (one part of 10,000 parts of the hair), the calculation of billions of universes.

• Even in Srimad-Bhagavatam, a completely unnatural epic, which has nothing to do with medicine, we find a brilliant account of human embryology, which gives a detailed description of the periodic development of the fetus from the first month to the tenth month. What is known today with the help of sophisticated complex instruments has been described in the Vedic scriptures thousands of years ago.

• It is said in the Vedas that plants, animals and human beings - all living beings have souls, vital energy or souls in their bodies. But scientists have long held the belief that plants do not have life - until Jagadish Chandra Bose proved through his experiments that plants also have life.

• Accurate predictions of the future of various incarnations or great men are given in Bred. In Srimad-Bhagavatam, the personality of seven is predicted as follows: 1) Buddhadev Srimad-Bhagavatam: 13-24 (2) Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu Srimad-Bhagavatam: 11-5-32, Mahabharata 128/92/75; (3) Chanakya Srimadbhagavata: 12/1/11: Chandragupta and Emperor Ashoka - Srimagavata 12/1/12, Jesus - Bhavishyapurana, Mohammad - Bhavishya Purana, Atharva Veda, Kand-20, Sukta 128, Mantra 13.

 Conclusion

Veda is the barni of God. The Vedas are word-based knowledge that flows continuously from the dawn of creation, and this knowledge does not change in the course of time like the inanimate science. The Vedas are not a collection of conventional human ideas although some people try to assume so. Absolute Knowledge is stated in the Vedas. One who is really interested in the mysteries of life and the answers to the basic questions of life, must focus on the knowledge of the Vedic scriptures, especially the Bhagavad Gita. Those who are incompetent will have to wait for millions of births to see how long inanimate science will prove the existence of God and the soul. On the other hand, a meritorious truth-seeker will soon attain the ultimate success of life by becoming aware of the truth through hearing from the representative of true Vedic knowledge.
