The mantra is a spiritual call to the Lord, which means, "O Lord's energy, please engage me in the loving service of Lord Krishna."
Who is Krishna?
Krishna is the name of the Supreme Lord, or God. It means "all attractive person" and "Rama" means "source of all happiness." Each of us, Krishna takes pleasure in chasing every living being. But we don't know how to find complete happiness. With the materialistic concept of life, we are frustrated at every step in fulfilling our happiness because we are constantly being asked to enjoy from our physical senses. To enjoy real happiness, one must first understand that it is not the body but the consciousness, or soul, within.
Why chant Hare Krishna?
Hare Krishna mantra is a spiritual sound vibration, which is like nourishment for the inner-self. This allows us to connect directly with Krishna because Krishna is not separate from His name. That the names of God are mutually powerful is observed by all religious traditions (for example, "Holy by Your Name").
Everyone knows that a happy life requires good health. A proper diet, adequate exercise, and adequate rest are essential to keep our body strong and fit. More important, but lesser known, is the inner-self need for spiritual nourishment and meditation. If we ignore our spiritual health needs, we become overwhelmed with negative physical tendencies such as anxiety, hatred, and loneliness.
The power necessary for the development of complete psychological and spiritual fulfillment already exists within everyone. However, it must be exposed to a real spiritual process.
It is said in Shri Bhagavad Gita that the name of Shri Krishna and Krishna is same. Therefore, when you chant Hare Krishna. So it actually means that the name Shri Krishna is on your tongue. He is with you. So what is Hare Krishna? It is regarded as the Maha Mantra – the great mantra – He is mentioned in the Kali-Santran Upanishad. This is a mantra and Hare calls that Sachidanand Lord with a feeling of devotion. It was here that the Bhakti movement of the 15th century began when Chaitanya Mahaprabhu initiated the teaching of the spiritual path. Hare Krishna mantra is a 16-word Vaishnava mantra which is as follows:- hare krishna mantra benefit.

Advantages of chanting Hare Krishna Mahamantra:-
- Control of mind and intellect:- By chanting the mantra, a person can get hold of his mind. We are all slaves of many desires, useless thoughts which keep our mind disturbed. But as the Bhagavad Gita says, “The mind must be conquered. One who has conquered his mind, his mind is his best friend. For those who don't, their mind will be their worst enemy. Chanting Hare Krishna helps in attaining peace of mind.
- Happiness:- The real happiness lies in sharing it." Everyone is in search of happiness. And chanting Hare Krishna allows us to share the contact with God and our soul. Thus entering into our association leads us to our bliss. This is not material happiness, but transcendental happiness.
- It helps to understand ourselves.:- We have become so accustomed to the material universe that we have forgotten our true self - the spiritual self. And when we have become so physical, we have developed a fear of death, old age and diseases. We fear the loss of beauty, intelligence, strength and countless other emotions. When we chant Hare Krishna, we feel that we are a pure, changeable spiritual soul, separate from the physical body. Mantra is a pure spiritual sound vibration, and it can help us to develop consciousness to understand our 'Self'.
- Karma:- The basic law of karma is equivalent to Newton's third law of motion: "For every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction". Spiritually, this means that for every physical action performed, nature responds equally to the doer. The Bible says: "As you sow, so shall you reap". The physical activities are like planting a seed: you will get a plant of the same seed you sow. Our physical body changes from one karma to another destiny. Chanting Hare Krishna can help us to build up our positive karma because chanting Krishna means that we are chanting the Name with transcendental energy.
- Moksha:- As a person passes from one karma to another destiny, he is forced to rebirth in the material world, thus passing from one life to another. The soul is an eternal being and we pass from one physical body to another. As long as we have a material desire, we will continue to do so. This is known as 'transformation of the soul' or 'rebirth'. To be free from this cycle of life, we need Moksha and liberation from the endless cycle of birth and death also known as 'Samsara'. This can be achieved only when our consciousness is completely free from material desires. That we chant Hare Krishna, we open ourselves to the natural spiritual desires of the soul. It awakens the original God-consciousness within us and connects us with Him. Through this we can attain the Supreme.
- Most Important Benefit – Love of God:- The most important benefit of chanting Hare Krishna Mantra is realization of God and pure love of God. When our consciousness becomes one with God, our spiritual divinity is reflected in our characters and behavior,Similarly, the name of Krishna awakens the love for the sleeping God in our hearts, which is vanishing from everyone in Kali Yuga today. It must be understood that before the soul enters the physical world, it has a unique, special relationship with God, and the strength of the relationship is as strong as it is with the physical body. When one chants the mantra, he begins to redevelop and strengthen this relationship with the Lord.
The name of God gives peace to the people and if you chant that name then it purify your soul and also protect you.
