Navratri: The reason behind worship of Goddess Siddhidatri in its 9th day


On the ninth ie the last day of Navratri, there is a law to worship Goddess Siddhidatri, the ninth form of Mother Bhagwati. Maa Siddhidatri bestows all kinds of powers to her devotees. • Story of Maa Siddhidatri: 

 According to Vedic scriptures, Lord Shiva had attained all kinds of siddhis by worshiping Maa Siddhidatri. And half of his body had become female, hence he is known as Ardhanareshwar. According to mythology, when the whole universe was dark i.e. there was no sign, then a small ray of energy appeared in that dark filled universe, gradually this ray started taking its big shape and finally it became a divine woman. took the form of It was none other than mother Siddhidatri herself. Mother Siddhidatri appeared and gave birth to the trinity, then Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh appeared. It is believed that Mother created the universe.


 On the other hand, according to another legend, when all the gods and goddesses were disturbed by the tyranny of Mahishasura. Then Tridev gave birth to mother Siddhidatri with her brilliance. Who killed Mahishasura and saved the three worlds from the tyranny of Mahishasura.

• Worship Method: 

 With the end of Navratri, the day of Navami is very special.  On this day, take a bath before sunrise and wear clean and beautiful clothes.  First of all start worshiping Maa Siddhidatri by worshiping Ganesha and worshiping Kalash.  Make the mother bathe with Panchamrit.  Then offer nine types of flowers, akshat, kumkum, vermilion, paan, betel nut etc. to the mother and offer pudding, puri and gram to the mother.  After this, recite the story of mother Siddhidatri and then after performing aarti, worship the girl, feed the mother's prasad to nine girls.  According to religious beliefs, Maa Durga resides in a girl from two to ten years old.  In this way, by worshiping Maa Siddhidatri, the mother gets pleased quickly and fulfills all the wishes of the devotees.

• The fruit is obtained by worship: 

On this day, coconut, kheer, naivedya and panchamrit are offered to the devi. Also, while performing Kanya Pujan devotees offer poori, halwa, and kale chane to the devi, which is further distributed among the kanjak along with gifts.
